I looked online for several months to find a dentist after relocating to San Diego. I saw all of the great reviews for Dr. Taylor and his staff, but was still skeptical (you can't be too sure about what you read on the internet). After continually seeing amazing reviews pop up for Dr. Taylor I felt more comfortable in choosing his office for my first dentist visit in about 4 years. All of the great reviews you see are totally the truth. In addition to a general check up, my goal is to have all of the amalgam fillings in my mouth replaced (and there are many). Dr. Taylor worked with me to develop a treatment plan that worked with my schedule and budget and his office staff helped me to maximize my insurance payout. After years of being afraid of the dentist, I was so comfortable during my last visit that I almost fell asleep in the chair while he was replacing a filling. His entire staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and taken care of. You can stop your search right now. Pick up the phone and make an appointment. Dr Taylor is a consummate professional who maintains a relaxed welcoming atmosphere in his office while providing top quality care. He uses state of the art equipment in a sparkling clean office, and takes the time to explain all x-rays, photos, and procedures very clearly and plainly. In the two months since I've started seeing Dr Taylor I've had two dental emergencies that required me to speak to him after hours, and he could not have been more obliging and helpful. Most recently, Dr Taylor reconstructed my badly chipped front tooth with the utmost care and precision, expertly restoring my smile to what it used to look like. Dr. Taylor did a great job fixing my front teeth! I had a very grey tooth shining through my crown from a previous accident that I really wanted to have fixed. Dr. Taylor spent hours talking to the lab, sending them pictures and finding the best way to cover the grey. He consistently kept me up-to-date on the progress through personal phone calls and gave me realistic expectations. All the staff was very nice and were very competent. When I had trouble with a different crown, Dr. Taylor did not hesitate to take me in the same day on multiple occasions until the problem was resolved.

About Hygienist: Wonderful hygienist! Very thorough and knowledgable about how to clean your teeth. Gave me great suggesions on how to improve my oral hygiene and showed a great deal of concern regarding my problems.

As a teenager, I visited a dentist in the Clairemont area (almost 40 years ago) and I was extremely traumatized. I went to him for pain and a checkup- He told me that my parents were remiss in not taking care of my teeth, (my parents were wonderful and caring parents) and proceeded to pull out a tooth in the very front that he said was abscessed. From that time on, I only went to see a dentist for emergency purposes only. Until I met Dr. Taylor and his fantastic staff, I was very nervous any time I had to see a

dentist. I kept putting it off until the pain was so severe, I ended up each time with a painful infection. As a matter of fact, coming to see Dr. Taylor for the first time in November, 2008, I did , in fact, have an infection. I told his staff and him how scared I was of dental procedures and they put me at ease. Dr. Taylor did offer me sleep dentistry which I considered, however, I decided to try the treatment I needed without sleep. Dr. Taylor is quick and gentle and explains everything as he works. Previously, every time I went to a dentist for treatment, I never went back, but I have been going back regularly for treatment without fear. Im very pleased with Dr. Taylor and would highly recommend his office to all my friends. Ive had quite a bit of work done and its always been a comfortable and pleasant experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating. On my first visit I got the most thorough exam Ive ever had complete with instant pictures of my teeth so that I could see exactly what Dr. Taylor was referring to when he discussed the treatment that I was going to need. (I was really worried about getting my wisdom teeth pulled but I finally found a Dr. that I trusted enough to go through with it. Im so glad I got it done. Prior to my visit to Dr. Taylor's office, I associated the word dentist with pain. I have often found the staff at a dental office to be polite and professional on the surface, but lacking in compassion. Needless to say I have put off regular dental visits. A recent dental emergency had me once again looking for a dentist only to find that the soonest I could be seen was in 2 weeks. A friend recommend Dr. Taylor. I spoke with Liz and despite a busy schedule she got me in the next day. I found Dr. Taylor and his staff to be highly professional, knowledable and very caring. i am austin reese , a recent patient of doc taylors. ive never written a review for anything before so i suppose ill describe my visit. upon the success of my vary recent and extreamly necessary tooth removal i felt compelled to offer more then the unfairly low cost i was asked to pay. "there must be something i could do"i had asked. since in the least the man as well as the extreamly helpful and caring nurse( nr. jenea jellison)were actually skipping there scheduled lunch to see me on a vary last min appointment without hesitation, question, or doubt in my pleas for assistance.an honest review was all he asked. service was quick and as painless as possible. sincere concerned couldnt be denied. for both doc tayler and miss jellison were constantly asking about my well being and giving helping words of reassurance.never impatient .though lunch ,if time would allow, was held, without prejudice, for me. concern was again felt when taylor & staff repeated antibiotic recommendations unyieldingly until given a satisfactory assurance of understanding. simply put they actually sincerly cared. heroics maybe easier to see in firemen, cops, and comics, but personaly my hero for now at least is the one who cared in the form of action

My wife and I went to Dr. Taylor after 18 years of steadily growing bad treatment with our old dentist. Dr. T introduced us to new technology to treat our dental concerns along with a good, friendly staff. I wouldn't go anywhere else again, My procedure was total reconstruction of #8 & #9 with dental implants. I came to Dr. Taylor to finish the work and create an incredible smile and perfect teeth. He went over and above any other Dentist in all of Sothern California & Hawaii!

He is incredibly understanding, listens to your exact desire of outcome and is well positioned with the best labs in the country. I have never felt more at ease with my treatment and exspecially the work that was just completed.

As a teen I developed an intense irrational fear of dentists, so I simply stopped going. When I finally decided to find a new dentist after a 6-year sobbatical, Dr. Taylor was the dentist I found.

When I recently went back for my last check-up, it was found that I had 5 teeth that needed work done. I was not thrilled, but Dr Taylor was very calming and again assured me that the procedure would be easy as well as pain and stress-free.

Dr Taylor and his hygienist made sure I didn't feel a thing (and I didn't!), and that I was comfortable and relaxed the entire procedure. Given that I had been a nervous wreck (almost in tears) just with a cleaning, having me leave the office feeling calm and smiling with a face full of Novacaine automatically earns him and the staff 5 gold stars!

Paul is a great guy, despite being a San Francisco Giants fan. Always smiling and happy to help. I had a tricky onlay done, after several months it just didn't feel right. Paul did his best to make it feel right by smoothing the area. It still didn't feel right so he redid the procedure at no cost. Dr. Taylor and the rest of the staff are very nice. I have had bad experiences with dentists in the past, but everything went smoothly with the 2 fillings Dr. Taylor did in February. They made sure I was numb before starting and finished the fillings quickly. One tooth was left a little long so it hurt when biting but I went back a few weeks later for a quick adjustment.

They were also very understanding when I asked them to check out a weird thing in my mouth - which turned out to be a canker sore - but since I had never had one, I didn't know what it was. They didn't make me feel stupid for having them check it out.

I first saw Dr. T in 2004 when I had 2 onlays done. I was nervous at first, because I had not been to the dentist in a few years. I had large silver fillings that had broke, and I went in to have them replaced. Dr. Taylor did 2 onlays, both of which look good and feel great. The onlays did cost more than I expected, but they have done well for 3 years.

Just recently, I had to have a root canal, and I was referred to Doctor Carter in the same building. The experience at Dr. Carter was the same as Dr. Taylor, predictable and pain free. I just went in to have a crown over that tooth with the root canal on friday, Dec 21, 2007. As usual it went well, and I expect the crown to feel as good as my temp.

The quality of work is superb and the staff s amazing. I love the fact that I dont have to worry to figure everything out about my insurance. They take care of everything and they are very detailed oriented and you dont get any surprises when you get your bill. The cost is adequate for the work you get done. If you need extra procedures (crowns, bridges, veneers, etc) anywhere you go its going to be pricey. However, the work is amazing. Dr. Paul makes sure that the procedure that you want may be the appropriate one for you or not and the temporary crowns look and last like the actual crown.

What sets Dr. Taylor apart from the rest is, quite honestly, everything. From the minute that first phone call or appointment is had, you will receive outstanding service and professionalism, as well as exceptional results unmatched by any other.

I have had a great deal of dental problems throughout my life, beginning as a child with having my two front teeth broken off in a bike crash. From then I have endured repeated and numerous cavities, serious gum problems, abcesses and other infections. I received extensive treatment from numerous other dentists throughout those many years, and all offered me no improvement, and some made the problems worse or actually created more problems!

When treatment by Dr. Taylor began, I could tell I had found a highly trained dentist that was genuinely concerned for my treatment and gave me personal attention. And sure enough, he offered solutions and treatment specifically designed for me individually. Now, I have virtually no continued problems with my teeth. In fact, the two front teeth crowns that previously looked horrible, he completely re-constructed, and they now look fantastic. I continually receive compliments on my smile from everyone, even in job interviews.
