I recently moved here here from Chicago I have never seen another dentist. I have seen the same one since I was a kid. My best friend referred me to Dr Agatep. I made the call and scheduled an appointment. I was so surprised I felt as if everyone has known me just like my dentist at home. I was so comfortable and all my anxieties washed away. I loved the experience. I called my dentist in Chicago and told him that he had competition. We've been going to Dr. Agatep for the past 3 1/2 years now. My son, who is now 10, had an underbite when we first saw her. She took a thorough analysis of his teeth and was able to treat him right away. Within a couple of months, my son had a beautiful, confident smile. We've been to other dentists before and none of them have said anything about his underbite. With Dr. Agatep, she noticed it right away and explained everything we needed to do before she proceeded with the treatment. She also developed a treatment plan for him to get his teeth ready for braces.

Dr. Agatep is very knowledgeable and when performing work she seems to be super-careful and strives for perfection. We are very pleased with the service we are receiving and we highly recommended her to all of our family and friends.

Before finding Dr.Agatep, I had nothing but bad dental experiences with previous dental treatments, for as long as I can remember. Dr.Agatep changed my whole perception with coming to the dentist. I am an admittedly anxious patient. She and the rest of her team are wonderful! I was in pain all weekend I found Dr Agatep from Dr Ooogle was very happy to see her reviews called the office and spoke to Beth she automatically put me at ease she told me she would squeeze me in between patients but would take care of me no matter what. I came in as she had scheduled I was greeted right away even knew who I was when I entered the door Lindsey from the back was waiting for me she assured and explained what will happen. I met Dr Agatep who was so nice and was pleasantly concerned with my well being. I needed a root canal and crown. I had it all done in the sameday The other back office person Ashley was also so helpful. The whole team explained everything from the money to the end of me getting my crown no secrets. I am so happy I recommend them to everyone.

My boys were referred to Dr Agatep by a football team mate. He wanted a football mouth guard like theirs. They received it this past week and used for the 1st time this past friday and they stated they felt so comfortable and it was secure, unlike the others on the market. My 11 year old daughter had a tooth that was growing over her baby tooth that refused to fall out. Very friendly and willing to explain procedures. So far, I have just had two cavities filled. So far, the treatment seems successful, but I only had it 12 hours ago. I have too little experience or knowledge to ascertain if the costs are cheap or expensive. The facilities are adequate. The receptionist is very helpful and explained my insurance. Excellent service. Does a thorough examination of your teeth upon your first visit to understand your history and record it. I'm not sure with other types of insurance, but it was very cheap with Principal PPO insurance. I had 2 cavities filled this morning and felt no pain at all during the operation. Would recommend it to family/friends.

Dr. Agatep and her staff are really great. What I like about her is that she takes the time to thoroughly examine each patient and listens to their dental concerns. From the initial consultation she was very attentive and examined my teeth, gums and jaw. I have never had such a thorough dental examination ever!! When I had to have a crown replaced she was very gentle and patient.

Her staff Lindsey, Ashley and Beth are all very kind, helpful and professional and they do their best to make you feel comfortable. Overall, my experience has excellent considering I was having a root canal and crown replacement.

I would strongly recommend Dr. Agatep, she is a great dentist. She combines excellent customer service with the newest state of art technology, providing a high level of customer satisfaction. Dr.Agatep and her staff really care about their patients.

1) My biggest priority is minimizing pain - I normally don't feel anything when she put the shots in my gums for fillings and crowns and she removed my wisdom teeth with minimal pain

2) She utilizes state of the art technology and procedures.

About 5 years ago I needed a special crown, I had very little tooth remaining. She designed the crown in her office using CAD/CAM technology, fabricated it and fitted the crown in the same day. I found that to be amazing. This was when very few dentists were even using CAD/CAM technology.

3)She and her staff cares about each of her patients, you're not just a number. She takes the time to explain each procedure and what to expect - what will it cost, how long it will take and your options. I think they try hard to find the best solution and accommodate your needs. Heck, they even remember individual fillings/crowns I had done 5 years ago.

I didn't feel a thing when she put the anesthetic shots in my gums and didn't feel pain at all when changing all my fillings. Dr. Agatep and her team (Ashley, Lindsey) are consummate pros. They care a great deal about the success of the treatment of their patients. I went in for 2 fillings. One filling ended up needing a root canal. I live in Los Angeles 120 miles from San Diego so I didn't anticipate this more complex procedure which required several more hours to complete. Dr. Agatep accommodated me and was able to complete the procedure in time for me to head back up the road to LA. Thanks!!

I recently had some old fillings replaced with white composites, and what can I say...Dr. Agatep is a great dentist. She is funny, gentle, and most of all - educational. She takes the time to explain the procedure and what to expect. I thought I was going to have to return for some adjustments like I have with previous dentists, but we got it right the first time.

I have been considering veneers and saw an album of some of the great work she has done with other patients. Dr. A answered all of my questions, made sure I'm a good candidate, and set my expectations on what it would cost and how long it would take. If I do decide on it, I'll definitely have her do the work!

Also, she recently moved to Sorrento Valley - which is close to my work and much more convenient.

I had my wisdom teeth extracted, and a short time after the oral surgery, my lower jaw bone broke. I had to go in for another surgery to fuse my jaw back together using a titanium plate. One complication from the surgery was the loss of feeling in that area.

After almost 12 months of having complete numbness in my face, I was beginning to think it would be permanent. Then I began a program with Dr. Agatep called neuromuscular dentistry. I started TENSing (Transcutaneous Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation) treatments to help stimulate the flow of blood and oxygen into the jaw area and find its optimal position. Sure enough, there were adjustments to make, and I was fitted with an orthotic to correctly reposition my bite into that position and resolve any TMJ issues I was experiencing. Within the first week, I had about 50 percent feeling back in my face.

Each step of the way, Dr. Agatep has been able to clearly explain the process so I have a full understanding of the plan and has given me back a sense of hope in recovering from this devastating situation. I drive from Los Angeles to San Diego each month for my treatments because I have such peace of mind this will all be corrected and back to normal, if not better than before.

I have a problem with grinding my teeth in my asleep. I grinded through 2 rubber mouth guards and cracked a plastic one. This problem led to severe headaches, shoulder and neck soreness. Out of all the dentists and TMJ specialists I talked to, Dr. Agatep offered the best solution for my problem. The orthotic device she gave me is great! I've been wearing it for 2 years now and it has almost eliminated the symptoms! Not only am I very happy with results, the treatment process was also outstanding. They spend a lot of time with their patients and do a very thorough job (my visits take 3 hours each!). Every time I went in, they made sure I left completely satisfied. Dr. Agatep and her staff provide excellent service and they definitely know what they are doing.

I work in a high profile industry and felt I needed to improve on my smile with veneers. I had been to Dr. Agatep before for filings, cleanings etc. and had been very happy with her, but I just recently moved and decided to look for a cosmetic dentist near my area. A couple of offices I talked with over the phone were not very helpful. I did have a consultation with one dental office and they made me feel like I was just wasting their time with all my questions. I finally called Dr. Agatep who made me feel very comfortable and she was willing to answer any of my questions and concerns. I have periodontal and had gone to two other dentists prior and even got a dental surgery, but the problem was still not fixed. Then I got referred to Dr. Agatep by a friend. Sleepness nights are very hard to endure, especially for a working mom like me. Yes, I dreaded every single night I spent with my husband. Why? LOUD SNORING. He was making my life miserable.

Thanks to the expertice of DR AGATEP. She recommended that my husband goes through the SLEEP APNEA treatment and without much hesitation we agreed. It was a very friendly procedure, no pain and it took very little time. Now I wake up every morning fully rested and happy.

I encourage every one who has sleep apnea problem to see DR AGATEP because I am talking from first hand experience.

I have been going to Dr. Agatep for the past year & half and she has been great! She was recommended by a friend of mine that has been her patient for a couple of years. The great thing about Dr. Agatep is that she explains the entire procedure with me and also explains the cost of the treatment.

My problem was that I had a really old vaneer that was discolored from the rest of my teeth and it basically needed to be replaced because it was really old. Anyhow, she did a great job. Ever since then, I stopped going to my old dentist and continued on with Dr. Agatep.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Agatep for almost two years now. My 14 year old daughter had work done by another dentist on one of her front teeth. We are now fighting to save that tooth due to all the errors made by the previous dentist . Dr. Agatep has been so helpful and patient with us. I have called their office numerous times and the office manager, Tina, has been so kind. My daughter had her third root canal on that tooth on a Friday. The temporary crown broke off that same night. Dr. Agatep actually opened her office and fixed the crown the very next day on a Saturday. We are so grateful to her for doing this. My daughter was devestated by the thought of walking around all weekend without her front tooth. She opened her office to help with a problem that was primarily cosmetic. She understood the importance of this to her 14 year old female patient. Everyone that I tell this story to are shocked that Dr. Agatep did this for us. We are very blessed to have found Dr. Agatep. I can't thank Dr. Agatep and her team enough for what they have done for me. As a result of a placement of a new crown (cerec), a prolonged and very irritating gum inflammation on the upper left side was cured.

Also a crown in that area that was created by a previous dentist had become loose and needed to be recemented.

I was very impressed how well the problems were diagnosed and how effective the various steps for this restoration were in creating a vastly improved situation. This was something that two dentists before had tried to manage without success.

In addition to the restoration, a deep root cleaning was recommended. After the first two sessions of a total of five, I already felt that an occasional itchiness had gone away and that my quality of sleep had greatly improved, which in turn resulted in a better quality of life in general.

In short:

State of the art technology, great communication regarding each and every aspect of the treatment, a genuine care for the quality of the end result and the proficiency that is necessary to deliver great improvements.

I am very glad that I found Dr. Agatep's office.

I went to Dr Agatep because when I was looking for a new denitst about 2 years ago, and I choose her because on her website it said that she had specialized training dealing with TMJ pain and issues. I have been experiencing jaw and neck pain that I had been told in the past was related to a TMJ issue, however I had also been told from my last dentist that it was just something I had to live with.

After meeting with Dr Agatep I learned that I did not have to live with this pain. After a few months of treatments I really was able to tell that it was helping, and 2 years later the pain is gone! I still see Dr Agatep as my regular dentist and will continue to do so as long as I live in the Southern California area.

I had ten teeth treated by Dr. Agatep. Yes, that is ten teeth. I do not like to go to the dentist at all. Had terrible experiences as a child with dental care. One of my teeth had chipped. Dr. Agatep fixed it with a partial crown. The pain was so minimal. It was the best I had ever felt after having dental work done. You could not even tell anything was done to my tooth. I love the staff at Dental Design Spa. They are welcoming, calming, and most importantly very thorough.

My procedures were as follows: deep cleaning, Invisalign treatment, fillings, and 2 teeth extractions.

It had been 2.5 years since my last trip to the dentist, and because I travel quite a bit for work, it was important that I try to condense all my procedures at once. Dr. Agatep & her team dedicated a full day for my treatment.

During the general exam Dr Agatep "found" infections under all five silver fillings, even though different So.Cal. dentists did them less than 6 yrs ago. (The average probability of infection under a silver filling is 1% in 5 yrs. A second opinion one month later did not confirm the presence of infection anywhere.) So she recommended onlays, but later they got disappointed with some restrictions of my HMO insurance and refused to accept it. They don't do any silver fillings at all: probably too cheap for them. The dental service that I eventually requested and received was excellent, but what Dr Agatep told me about the health of my teeth was quite misleading. Also check the dates of the previous reveiws: don't you notice something funny there?

Coming from a family of dentists and having tried many dentists before, I was very particular about what I expected in dentists. I was so fortunate to work with Dr Agatep on my veneers. I had been unhappy with my teeth for literally years and was really against the idea of getting braces but was also very scared to get veneers as I had seen many cases of obvious, tacky veneers even amongst celebrities who have the top dentists at their disposal.
