Case Description
Hello, I am a student, so probably would very much consider payment plan. I went to a dentist around August and was told that I need all 4 of my wisdom teeth to be extracted, a deep clean and several (3-4) fillings. I did an X-ray full mouth. The cost estimate went to about 4000. I can feel my wisdom teeth but have not trouble with them ever (no fever, no pain, nothing...) --> still need them out???

I have insurance through school, which tells me to pay cash and they will pay 50%, up to 1500 after my deductions. But 2500 is still not what I really can afford. So if there is any dentist's recommendations, I would love to hear. Right now, I'm only looking to have my fillings and deep clean done. Thank you so much for your time!

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

I would be happy to provide a no charge consult to see if we concur on the other dentist suggestions and fees. We are conservative on wisdom teeth extraction and we use lasers for fillings so often you do not need to have a shot with fillings. Give us a call and we would love to help you. As far as payments go, we need to see you first.

Hi there.

If you are not having any symptoms with your wisdom teeth and there is no evidence of infection or decay, I suppose you could hold off on the extractions for now. Your periodontal condition and any cavities should be priority. I would be happy to schedule a consultation appointment for you if you are interested. You''''ll have to request a copy of your current dental x-rays and bring them with you on the day of your appointment. Dr. Charlton will then evaluate your periodontal condition and check for cavities. I wouldn''''t be surprised if the diagnosis is different. I would consider a second opinion.

You can check out or website for some information on Dr. Charlton and our practice. www.delmarviewdental.com

Please feel free to email or call me.

Thank You,

Yvette
