Case Description
I went for a checkup and was quoted over $8000 for restorative work, mostly on teeth that already have had root canals and crowns. I have three children still at home that will soon need braces. I want to opt for a full upper denture plate instead but am having a hard time finding a dentist willing to go this route with me. (I received a response from one wonderful dentist on Dr. Oogle who allows his patients to make the final decision in their treatment However, I have been unable to find a doctor within my network with this same, sensible attitude.) Help?
P.S. I have PacifiCare Signature Value 130 (HMO) dental insurance and need to find a provider who accepts this insurance.

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Sorry, we do not accept any HMO''''s for the main reason that the insurance company dictates the patients treatment rather than the doctor which is not how i would want to be treated and i certainly would not treat my patients that way either. We do have numerous payment options and carry our own in house insurance if you are interested. 619-427-0810.thanks.

My suggestion is not to go to an HMO office. If you would like , you can come to my office and I will do a consultation for you free of charge and give you my opinion. Office number is 858-759-7658.P.S. Do not look for bargains in parachutes and health care!!!Find a doctor you trust and do the tretment. iF you can''''t do it all at once ; break it down and do what is more urgent first and go from there.
