Need Dentist / Specialist: Yes
Provide Cost Estimate: Yes
X-rays Available: No
Case Summary
Extractions / Oral Surgery
Teeth:
Last Full Mouth X-Ray: over a year ago
Last Cleaning: about 3 years ago
Case Description
I am 27. My teeth have gone through phases of excruciating pain, irritation and normality. I have a huge fear of getting teeth pulled and I think I have to be put to sleep because I freak out at the thought of someone pulling teeth out of my head. I haven't had a dentist in years, mostly out of fear, but the time has come for me to take care of this. I am waiting for my insurance to kick in but I am hearing that they won't cover this anyways since it's considered "pre-existing". I need to find some sort of payment plan. Please help me, I can't handle the pain anymore. Thank you, Beth

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Our office is in Chula Vista but you are welcome to come down. visit our website, samhalabodmd.com, for a new patient special. we are a general office but can refer you if you want to be put to sleep for extractions. Have the dental office check your insurance as we would before you decide how to proceed just incase some things are covered. take care.

It is difficult to know what the fee is without examination. If you have a big fear of dentists, we can certainly help you. We offer IV Sedation, which is not complete general anesthesia, but a very comfortable twilight type of sleep. It takes the edge off. As far as payment plans, you could apply for credit care, and if qualified you can make interest free payments. Insurance may have some benefits regardless. I encourage you to at least seek your options, and get the questions addressed.

Dear Beth;

Sorry to hear that you are so uncomfortable.

Our recommendation to you is to come in for treatment either with our office or an office near to you.

You will need to be examined and presented with a treatment plan. We have options for light sedation or general anesthesia available for your comfort and various payments plans are available to help you to have your necessary treatment.

Our office is a multi-specialty group practice making it convenient for you to have secondary opinions and most likely have your treatment done in one office.

We wish you the best of luck and maybe we will be the office for you.

Regards,

Hi Beth.

I would love to help you out. I would like to check your dental coverage to see what benefits you have. It seems odd that your dental coverage would consider wisdom teeth pre-existing. Almost always, this service is covered.
