Case Description
I am currently going to a dentist that has made a permanent bridge for me even though I believe we are Both unsure of where my true bite actually is. Old bridge never had occlusion so new bridge needs to fit better, I have had implants on other side, so my bite has radically changed over the years. Dentist wants to cement permanent bridge in even tho I am unsure that it fits well and not happy with color, he says he can grind my other teeth until all sits well, he has already done some reshaping of my existing teeth. Based on experience up to this point, I now think better for dentist to make a temporary, let me wear it for several weeks or more, make corrections until I am comfortable with fit, and then make a permanent bridge to be an exact match if there is such a thing. My bite has been uneven for many years and I need a dentist/prosthodontist who will work with me over a period of time until my bite is stable and I am no longer in pain from clenching with an uneven bite. Not sure how to handle current dentist or where to go from here, I have paid 50% upfront.

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Hello,I am sorry to hear of your bite and occlusion etc. problems. Your case is the type that I would definitely need to see you and get some records before really being able to tell you what would be an appropriate course of action. We work with bite and occlusion cases on a regular basis and would be happy to take a look and give you a second opinion. As for now I would discuss things further with your current dentist and make sure you are happy and that they understand your concerns since you have already paid some money and are in treatment currently.Warm regards, Sam Halabo D.M.D. sam@samhalabodmd.com visit us at: www.samhalabodmd.com
